Keep in mind that when we use the term video on this page, it refers to Shorts, long-form videos, and live streaming. To earn revenue from fan funding features, first time users must accept the Commerce Product Module (CPM) before turning on the individual features.

Reused content

This means creators should not artificially inflate a channel’s engagement, such as views, subs, likes, watch time, and ad impressions. This guideline means sometimes, you may not get claims against your content, but your channel may still violate our reused content guidelines. That means channels where content is only slightly different from video to video are not allowed to monetize. When a channel’s content consists of similar content, it can frustrate viewers who come to YouTube for appealing and interesting videos. Our reviewers regularly check to see whether monetizing channels follow these policies.

Creators should also not mislead users or YouTube by participating in financially abusive behaviors, such as using our monetization features for illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive transactions.
Once you apply, your channel will go through a standard review process to see whether your channel meets our policies and guidelines.
In exceptional circumstances we may need to terminate a channel, account, or disable a user’s access to the Service in order to protect the integrity of the platform or protect our users from harm.

What we check when we review your channel

Your channel also must not have any active Community Guidelines strikes in order to apply. If you have active Community Guidelines strikes on your channel, you can apply after your strikes expire.

In other words, we allow reused content if viewers can tell that there’s a meaningful difference between the original video and your video. If you put a funny or thoughtful spin on content you didn’t originally create (in line with our guidelines below), you’ve transformed the content in some way. We want to reward creators for original and “authentic” content that adds value to viewers. In other words, your channel shouldn’t have content that’s produced using a template and repeated at scale. This policy makes sure monetized content offers viewers something appealing and interesting to watch.

How we’ll inform you of actions that affect your monetization

All content monetizing with ads must follow our advertiser-friendly content guidelines. These policies apply to anyone in, or looking to apply to, the YouTube Partner Program. These include policies described below, as well as YouTube’s Community Guidelines, Terms of Service, Copyright, Rights Clearance Adjustment policies, and our program policies. Also, we are pausing access to all monetization features (such as Channel Memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and Merch) for viewers in Russia. If a channel is inactive and has not uploaded or posted posts for 6 months or more, YouTube reserves the right to remove its monetization. Note that a channel needs to complete all the YPP signup steps (which currently include signing the contract and associating an AdSense for YouTube account) before they will be reviewed.

Content that violates this guideline

If you’re not eligible yet, select Get notified in the Earn area of YouTube Studio. If you’re not in one of the available countries/regions, there are no changes to the YouTube Partner Program for you. The expanded YouTube Partner Program is available to eligible creators in these countries/regions.

If you have videos that violate our guidelines, or if we cannot clearly tell that you made the content, monetization may be removed from your entire channel. Keep in mind we continuously check channels in YPP to make sure they continue to meet our policies and guidelines over time. It’s fine to have this type of content on your channel, but individual videos may be subject to other policies like copyright. In other words, if you have videos that violate our guidelines, monetization may be removed from your entire channel. Violation of our YouTube channel monetization policies may result in monetization being suspended or permanently disabled on all or any of your accounts. As a member of the YouTube Partner Program, you can make your videos eligible to earn ad revenue if they meet our advertiser-friendly content guidelines.

Limit ad revenue from your videos

As the YouTube Partner Program continues to grow, it’s important to maintain a healthy, active ecosystem of channels. To turn on monetization features, you’ll need to review and accept the relevant module terms. Once you accept YPP terms and link an active AdSense for YouTube account, your channel daman game app will automatically be put in a review queue. Once you understand what you need to join, your channel can become eligible for YPP with either Shorts or long-form video. Inauthentic Content

Every channel that meets the threshold will go through a standard review process. Keep in mind that any public watch hours from Shorts views in the Shorts Feed don’t count towards the 4,000 public watch hours threshold. Current members of the program won’t be removed when receiving Community Guidelines strikes. You can also apply after you’ve successfully appealed to have your Community Guidelines strikes removed. Make sure you’re signed in to your YouTube TV account, then select “Contact us” to get started. We also make sure the phone number is linked to no more than 2 channels per year. It can be a good idea to simultaneously ask your question on a software development site like Stack Overflow or on answers.sap.com, or ask one of these other sites first, if you have the time. We’ll inform you in writing by email or in product when we have to enforce our policies. If your channel is terminated or suspended from the YouTube Partner Program, you are no longer entitled to earn any revenue.

Once you qualify for the higher eligibility criteria for YPP, you will be eligible to receive a share of the revenue from ads served on your content. If you do not currently meet the higher eligibility criteria of YPP you may still see ads being served on your content. According to our Terms of Service, YouTube retains the right to serve ads on all content on the platform. If you’ve met the threshold and applied for YPP, we’ll still review your channel for YPP suitability.

Note that our reviewers can, and may check other parts of your channel to see whether it fully meets our policies. Make sure you read each policy thoroughly, as these policies are used to check if a channel is suitable to monetize.
